Friendly Christchurch Central Accommodation

Wir waren zu Silvester dort und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Super nette Inhaber und die Lage ist top! Parkplatz direkt vor der Tür.

Heel goede overnachting gehad, vriendelijk onthaald door de gastheer, begeleid naar de ruime kamer. Voordeel dat de slaapkamer afgezonderd is van de kitchenette, alles netjes verzorgd. Alles was aanwezig voor een goed verblijf. De volgende ochtend een vriendelijke vaarwel gekregen van de gastvrouw. Aanrader als je Christchurch bezoekt, op wandelafstand van de meeste bezienswaardigheden. Die het gastkoppel met veel plezier toelicht.

This is a great place to stay , lovely greeting upon arrival taken to our room, the room was small but well set up with a spacious balcony , everything in our room is just done well everything works very tidy

Highly recommended! I stayed at this hotel for two nights and had a truly wonderful experience. Gin, the lady who manages the place, was absolutely amazing — so kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything I needed. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. I was traveling alone and felt completely safe throughout my stay. There’s also convenient parking close to the rooms. I definitely recommend this place!

Fantastic stay! Great location, spotless rooms, and outstanding service. I accidentally dropped my car keys in the after-hours dropbox while checking out early. I called, and the owners came out straight away to swap keys, saving me any delay. Truly amazing service—thank you!

5 minutes walk to Hagley Park; easy stroll to any number of eating establishments & bars, the Focus is ideal for any Christchurch short or long term stay.

Had a great stay here. Was very cold weather and we were warm and very comfortable. We were helped to our room by a very friendly lady. There was even a lift. Great room with plenty of space and a balcony. Easy to get to so many restaurants. Even had electric blankets and my personal favourite was the fresh milk. Thank you:)

Well appointed, clean and well presented, we loved having the lift as my husband struggles to get upstairs, Phil was very welcoming. We would most definitely stay there again.

We stayed in the 2 bedroom suite, so my family can stay together. The rooms were clean and spacious. The location was great, you can walk to the city center easily.

Loved our quick stay. Parking was perfect and the staff at reception were just so lovely. Took the time to talk to us and have a nice chat plus recommended a few things for us to do as tourists.

Keep in mind that this is a mixed review. Rooms were clean and well appointed. Kelvin was great and laundry facilities really good. No AC is an issue though when it’s warm. Very walkable to most things. Noisy as on a busy street but mostly quiet at night. Very small bathrooms but towel rack warned was a nice touch

Fantastic little motel. Kelvin and his wife do a great job of making you feel at home. There is off-street parking with a gate that closes at 8pm and opens at 5am. After hours access is provided via a FOB. Our room was spotless, everything worked fine. The shower is sooooo nice. I highly recommend staying there when visiting Christchurch.

Fantastic motel, great room, and perfect location for a quick walk into the centre of the city. There were so many close restaurants and cafes, as well as a chemist not far away. Very friendly and helpful motel managers. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Stayed four nights, a fabulous place to stay, very quiet, suite was roomy, spotlessly clean. Location is perfect walking distance to lots of fabulous restaurants and hosts Roy and Carol were friendly, helpful and went out of their way to make my stay very enjoyable CP

Fantastic place to stay, highly recommend. The room is great, a lovely size and has everything you need, including some outdoor sitting, which was surprising in a city location. The owners are brilliant, can't do enough for you.

Can't say enough great things about this place! Wonderful and caring staff. Nice big rooms. Amazing location! Can walk anywhere. Beds are super comfy and it is by far the quietest place I have ever stayed! I slept great. Nice warm place too. Love all the extra security. Felt very safe.

Fantastic place to stay! We arrived here to extremely friendly hosts who went the extra mile to accommodate us after we'd arrived one day early. Motel was in an excellent location, close to the city centre and only a short stroll to the Casino, we were attending a gig at the Town Hall and this was the perfect place for us. The room was spacious and clean, bed super comfortable and the hosts extremely friendly. Can't recommend highly enough, will definitely be back only next time I'll book for the correct day!

I picked Focus Motel and Executive Suites for a 2 night stay based on its proximity to the city center and being very close to my rental car pickup location. It was a great choice. We had a very large two bedroom suite (we booked a one bedroom) with a great tub (and shower). Everything was clean and tidy, Coffee and tea and milk were provided, and we had a fridge and little stove. There was laundry facilities on site. The owners were still on site when we arrived (we came on the train and it can be delayed at times) and they were lovely. We were minutes from the Botanical Garden and Quake City, and an easy walk to the town center and there were great food and drink options close by. There was free parking so we could load our luggage once we picked up our car. The lodging was secured at night. It was quiet. It was everything we wanted and needed at a fair price in the middle of NZ's summer!

Excellen place to stay, walkable to everything. Clean, comfortable and quiet. Focus was able to offer us room 1 at very short notice. Much appreciated.

Room was clean and comfortable except the lack of air conditioning. The bedroom was separate from a living area and small kitchenette as well as offering a patio and small dining table. We appreciated that there was a lift and gated parking. We were able to walk to everything except the grocery store. We probably could have just did not plan before we had walked all day. However there were small stores for the necessities nearby. The hotel offered ground coffee and a French press, which is a nice addition. One item I did not appreciate was how dirty the vent for the fan in the bathroom was. I could almost reach it and did attempt to wipe the half inch thick dust but was not quite tall enough so I was only able to remove very little. The reception person was super friendly and helpful. Even walked us to the room. Later we had an issue with the remote batteries and she followed me back up and seemed happy to help. One last item of note, there is great views, however, the space was comfortable. We were looking to see the city and not a view so this location was great.

Clean and tidy, central location.

The bed is soft, which isn't to my preference. However, the double bedroom unit was exactly what we needed. Close access to city. Friendly staff. Good value. Highly recommend.

Wonderful location would highly recommend stay,disregard my comments on Expida I had your property mixed up with our Queenstown Stay.we enjoyed our stay at Focus.

Modern rooms good service

We had a great 2 night stay early February, received a very friendly welcome, the suites were very comfortable, spotless & had everything we needed. We will definitely stay there again on our next trip to Christchurch.

Perfectly located for the event we were going to in North Hagley Park and an easy (and really beautiful) walk into the hospitality precinct. Rooms were clean and had everything we needed, amazing shower, and the hosts were friendly, took an interest in what we were doing and that we knew where to find everything in town, and great to chat to in general. Great value for money, great place to stay! Easy 5 stars!

Amazingly helpful hosts who focussed on making our stay exceptional. Fabulous location close to the city centre and airport public bus. Can easily self cater for breakfast etc and numerous quality restaurants available within 5 minutes walk.

A warm welcome from the owner who provided lots of useful information. Super clean, comfortable accommodation, safe parking on the premises and an easy walk into the city centre. Would love to stay again! 😊

Outstanding! So clean, comfortable, great location, well presented, comfy bed, very affordable, welcoming (with a wee personalized sign on your room door!) I could go on...and on! HIGHLY recommend! Best accommodation I've stayed in for a very long time.

Roy the owner was a really friendly and helpful guy. Though location not as near to the city centre, was really close to the major car rentals which helped me a lot with my itinerary. Apartment was clean, shower was fantastic, and had a good rest.

Great hosts, rooms are always exceptionally clean & tidy. Very reasonable prices. We always stay here when in town & highly recommend. We will be back again soon.
