A very comfortable and easy stay
I was greeted by the very friendly and helpful owner and shown personally to our room. The room was clean, tidy and well-maintained. It had everything we needed for our brief overnight stay and early start. The breakfast included was handy too.
Fantastic stay! Great location, spotless rooms, and outstanding service. I accidentally dropped my car keys in the after-hours dropbox while checking out early. I called, and the owners came out straight away to swap keys, saving me any delay. Truly amazing service—thank you!
5 minutes walk to Hagley Park; easy stroll to any number of eating establishments & bars, the Focus is ideal for any Christchurch short or long term stay.

Just what I needed!
After a long day on the road I arrived late with a space reserved for my traveling van comes off in their secure car park. Room warm and cozy ready for my rest. Exceptionally comfortable bed saw me sleep until after 8am which I never usually do. A well prepared continental breakfast has just been completed ready to hit the road again. Great location. This is my new central city Christchurch accommodation! Cheers.

Had a great stay here. Was very cold weather and we were warm and very comfortable. We were helped to our room by a very friendly lady. There was even a lift. Great room with plenty of space and a balcony. Easy to get to so many restaurants. Even had electric blankets and my personal favourite was the fresh milk. Thank you:)
Well appointed, clean and well presented, we loved having the lift as my husband struggles to get upstairs, Phil was very welcoming. We would most definitely stay there again.

The host was so welcoming and great to chat with. He had some great recommendations for in and around Christchurch, as well as out on the road around South Island. Especially pointing us to an amazing Cheese shop and a bakery that had the most amazing pies on the way to Lake Tekapo. The accommodation itself was lovely, comfortable and warm

We stayed in the 2 bedroom suite, so my family can stay together. The rooms were clean and spacious. The location was great, you can walk to the city center easily.

Exceptional find for city visits
Absolutely superb. Can't fault this place which had exceptional location, fabulous facilities and very comfortable beds. Enjoyed a pre meal glass on our balcony in the sunshine, met friends for a celebration dinner and stayed here in the city so we didn't have a long late drive home. Hugely recommended, will stay again.

The host was very friendly and upgraded our room for us without asking. She even allowed for an early check in. The room was clean, spacious, quiet, and comfortable. The location was great- walking distance to the center of town and sights. We would recommend staying here!
Loved our quick stay. Parking was perfect and the staff at reception were just so lovely. Took the time to talk to us and have a nice chat plus recommended a few things for us to do as tourists.

Keep in mind that this is a mixed review. Rooms were clean and well appointed. Kelvin was great and laundry facilities really good. No AC is an issue though when it’s warm. Very walkable to most things. Noisy as on a busy street but mostly quiet at night. Very small bathrooms but towel rack warned was a nice touch

Loved how close it was to walk to all our destinations. Loved that the gates are locked at night and you need the key to get in, very secure. Very friendly helpful staff.

Forgot to tell my hosts the light over the kitchen counter did not function. Likely just a light bulb. A small cutting knife would be helpful, versus the only 10 inch one available.

Had a 2 bedroom unit so 3 people fitted in well. Very clean and comfortable , good beds and pillows. Location suited us. As our train was delayed we were sent good information how to access after 8pm which was much appreciated.

Fantastic little motel. Kelvin and his wife do a great job of making you feel at home. There is off-street parking with a gate that closes at 8pm and opens at 5am. After hours access is provided via a FOB. Our room was spotless, everything worked fine. The shower is sooooo nice. I highly recommend staying there when visiting Christchurch.

The location was excellent and the staff were very helpful in terms of accommodating a potential late arrival (which didn't eventuate). The unit was very quiet and comfortable Mini chocolate bars were a nice touch. Hagley Park North makes a really nice walk close by as well.

Fantastic motel, great room, and perfect location for a quick walk into the centre of the city. There were so many close restaurants and cafes, as well as a chemist not far away. Very friendly and helpful motel managers. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.
Stayed four nights, a fabulous place to stay, very quiet, suite was roomy, spotlessly clean. Location is perfect walking distance to lots of fabulous restaurants and hosts Roy and Carol were friendly, helpful and went out of their way to make my stay very enjoyable CP
